Two young mothers died after trying to give birth in Epworth at a certain midwives home leaving
behind babies.
Tsitsi Moyo(16) and Rudo Janhi(17) reported to have died at the midwives place in Epworth as the midwives failed to assist them in giving a normal birth. This came as a result after the local clinic started registering only a few maternity patients per day.
At the local clinic in Epworth during this lockdown pertaining to covid-19 regulations they started registering only 10 people.
Moreso the review dates are being given even if one has already given birth
which is unnecessary for maternity mothers as they needed check ups each and every month.
Henceforth the deceased are being reported to have failed to register at a local maternity clinic so that
they could be helped from there with qualified nurses and doctors.
It is being reported that the midwives who attended the young mothers to be did not have proper accommodation and materials to use for maternity .
Due to lots loss of blood and skills of the midwives resulted in loss of two lives leaving behind vulnerable babies.
The incident has left many young women
and mothers speechless in Epworth recently.The husbands of the deceased are being reported to the local police station in Epworth as they are accused of marrying minors.
