Wadzanai Kumbaira is a 19-year old girl, passionate about the empowerment of girls, young women and sexual reproductive health rights. I have worked with other organisations, in my desire to create safe space for the girl child in my community.
The LEMHs bootcamp was a transformative experience for me, it enhanced my leadership and advocacy skills were strengthened. My knowledge on climate change was broadened, something which I did not have much knowledge about and realised it should be everyone’s business to do something to address the climate crisis.

For my community project after the LEMHs bootcamp, intend to continue advocating for girls and young women, and form a movement that uses the arts especially public speaking and poetry to convey important advocacy messages for girls and young women’s rights.

I want to strongly advocate against social norms that oppress women. I also want to promote recycling, and encourage young women to come up with innovative profit-making solutions that also address the climate crisis. I want to inspire a new generation of young women to become leaders and changemakers!
