Tatenda Madondo

On 24 June 2024, Tatenda Madondo embarked on her YELL movement journey at Nyahonye Secondary School in Rusape, eager to share her knowledge and skills gained from the bootcamp. She delivered a comprehensive and engaging lesson on leadership, focusing on self-awareness and the essential qualities of effective leaders. The students were thrilled to learn about leadership and became eager to participate in leadership roles, starting with their school.

This experience reinforced Tatenda’s passion for Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and leadership, and she is committed to continuing this vital work of inspiring and uplifting young girls to reach their full potential. During her interaction with the students, she discovered that many girls are struggling with period poverty and are unable to afford sanitary wear. This poignant issue sparked a sense of purpose within her, and she became more determined to make a positive impact in her community.

Tatenda’s dedication to empowering young girls and addressing period poverty is truly inspiring.
