Shelly Kapfuchira is a 20-year old young woman who is passionate about children’s rights.
I was very excited to take part in the LEMHs bootcamp, where I got to learn about confidence, self-awareness and self-love I was a shy person before the bootcamp, but due to the many presentations and exercises that needed participation, I worked on and gained good oral skills that will be key for advocacy work.

In addition, I learnt a lot about leadership. That a good leader speaks confidently, with facts, must be empathetic, strategic and manage their reputation. A good leader must also know how to work well with others and build a great team for success.

The children in my community are not aware of their rights, there are children who do not even go to school, and no one does anything about it. I want to raise awareness to children, parents and the community about the basic rights of children, including the rights to education, health care, family care and the right to be protected from abuse. Every child must know their rights, together with their responsibilities!
