Tag a life international (Tali) director Nyaradzo Mashayamombe is taking a leap in empowering girls and young women in different communities.

Mashayamombe grew up in a rural set up where opportunities for girls such as education were not easily accessible.Despite facing obstacles on her way,the eversmiling Mashayamombe managed to defy all odds and excelled both in her academic and social endeavours.

Her passion for changing the lives of young women, especially from marginalized communities has led her to form Tag a life international, an organisation which seeks to empower young women and girls.

Mashayamombe runs many programs at her women led organization in Harare and Midlands provinces. One of the programs she launched in 2018 is the Leadership economic mentorship hubs(LEMHs).This program impacts girls with leadership and mentorship skills among other skills .

Most of the trained girls and young women under the above mentioned program have managed to scoop some leadership positions.Anna Sande a trained young woman managed to take ZINASU secretarial position at the University of Zimbabwe.Other trained girls and young women have managed to also train others in their communities.

Mashayamombe together with her partners managed to train more than 20 girls on citizen journalism during the first week of June 2021.This program is helping young women to bring up issues that are affecting their communities through articles.

Apart from the LEMHS and Citizen Journalism trainings, Mashayamombe is leading the Every Child in School Campaign from 2018. The Campaign advocates for every child to have access to education and for the government to sponsor basic education.

In addition Mashayamombe runs her own Identities Media company where she employ women as a way of empowering them.

Mashayamombe believes that if women are empowered, they can bring about positive change in the lives of their communities.Like the adage, give them a line to fish for themselves than giving them fish, her organisation is focusing more on women trainings than giving handouts which she believes are momentarily.

Women empowerment contributes significantly in achieving the Vision 2030 introduced by President Emerson Mnangagwa
