Meet Alista Kainosi, a trailblazing change-maker tackling the silent pandemic of drug and substance abuse! As the founder of Alista Association and our 2024/2025 LEMHster, Alista is on a mission to empower girls and young women to break free from the grip of addiction.
With a comprehensive approach, Alista is providing education and awareness campaigns, counseling, and psychosocial support to those affected. She’s also establishing “Drug and Substance Abuse Fighters” clubs in Chiredzi district, where 80% of members are girls and 20% are boys. These clubs are a safe space for peer education, identification, and support.
Alista’s impact is already being felt! She’s established a vibrant club at Chiredzi Christian College, offering online training sessions and physical training programs. Her participants are equipped with knowledge and skills to overcome addiction, thanks to Alista’s LEMHs boot camp experience.
Through her tireless efforts, Alista is making a real difference in the lives of girls and young women. She’s a shining example of dedication and passion, and we’re honored to support her journey as a LEMHster!
