Sharon Jeche is a 24-year old entrepreneur who loves cooking and wants to be a Chef. The bootcamp taught me that as a leader I need to know myself, love and accept myself. This process of self-introspection helped me to gain more confidence in my abilities.
I learnt about Human Rights and Women’s rights, civil and political rights. We have rights by virtue of just being women, and everyone has a right to enjoy their rights no matter who they are, where they come from. Rights do not unfairly discriminate, and they offer protection to all people.
More importantly, I learnt that everyone is protected against any form of abuse or violence, including gender-based violence. I want to be the person who advocates against gender-based violence, ensuring that women know about the various forms of abuse, their rights and know where they can get help.
