Preslyn Ndudzo | Tag a Life International

Preslyn Ndudzo is a 24-year-old woman who is currently pursuing a degree in Development Planning and Management at Midlands State University. Through my studies, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities, particularly young girls and women. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have actively engaged in volunteer work with organizations such as Say What, Shamwari Yemwanasikana, and What Girls Want.

The bootcamp enhanced my understanding of effective leadership qualities, emphasizing the significance of empathy, effective communication, and inclusive decision-making. I have gained a deeper appreciation for SRHR, recognizing the need for comprehensive and accessible healthcare and rights for all individuals. The bootcamp underscored the crucial role of advocacy in empowering and uplifting young women. Amplifying their voices and advocating for their rights are essential for creating a more equitable and inclusive society.

After leaving the bootcamp, I plan to engage the church community on the critical issues of leadership, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), climate change, and advocacy. I want to host SRHR awareness campaigns, providing accurate information and promoting open discussions within the church community. These workshops will create a safe space for individuals to learn and ask questions about SRHR. Also critical is developing empowerment programs for young women including mentorship programs and leadership support networks.

I aim to foster a culture of awareness, empowerment, and positive action within the church community, addressing these crucial issues and making a meaningful impact. My hope is to foster a community that is accurately-informed, empowered, and actively engaged in addressing the intersecting issues of SRHR and climate change, advocacy, supportive and empowerment of young women.
