My name is Liced Kindra Chidamba and i’m a lady aged 23. I’m currently studying Development studies with Catholic University of Zimbabwe. Due to the empowerment I received during best LEHMs training , I can now describe myself as a pace setter, confident , unapologetic feminist and resolute. The LEMHs program has also helped me to shape my career goals as it has unlocked my full potential towards critical decision making.
The LEMHs program inspired me to become a confident strong lady and to speak out my mind.My passion lies within SRHR and Gender Based Violence and I have started a movement with girls in my community towards fighting GBV and giving information on SRHR.
As a trained leader I possess skills of leading other young women and coordinating meetings at ward levels. I can safely say i’m a leader and an advocate who is giving back to her community through raising awareness and doing campaigns towards Gender Based Violence and SRHR issues. I’m an influence to my community as most of the young women and girls open up talking about issues they face. I have started mobilizing the young people for the second stage YELL with the help of youth officers in my community and I am excited about it as we will be engaging the leaders. I am wishing to reach out to as many young women and girls at district level going to the province as these issues happen a lot in my district.
I see myself as a movement builder for girls and young women, gender specialist and participating in governance and democracy bringing change because I am a change maker in 10years time .
