Meet Annah, a student activist who was trained by TaLI under the Leadership and Economic Mentorship Hubs.
Q. What is your name?
A. Annah Sande
Q. How old are you?
A. I am 22 years old.
Q. What are your unique characteristics?
A. I am prayerful, visionary, pace setter, hardworker.
Q. How has the LEHMS training impacted your life?
A. It enhanced my leadership skills. The training motivated me enough to run for Student Representative Council elections in which l became the first female to hold the Information and Publicity Portfolio at the University of Zimbawe.
5. A message to girls and young women back in the communities: You alone has the power to change the narrative about your life from negative to positive. Make wise decisions that will sustain you through the course of time. Own your visions whatever that you imagine if you claim it through hardwork you will get there.
Q. Where do you see yourself in the next 3 years.
A. In terms of advocacy and reporting issues in your community. Reaching out to the marginalised communities and empowering them has always been my passion. I see myself writing success stories form girls and young women from rural settings in Zimbabwe and beyond our boarders.
