My name is Ruvimbo Topodzi and l am aged 25. I am a survivor of a child marriage. I got the opportunity to be part of the 1st class of the LEMHs programme in 2018. After the LEMHs training l now see my self as a champion and sister’s keeper.
My immediate action after the LEMHs training was to join TaLl team as a volunteer. I was promoted to be the organisation’s Assistant Projects Officer. From my past experiences and the exposure through the LEMHs programme, l was inspired to be a change maker in my community and established my own Community Based Organisation-Topodzi Foundation Trust. The organisation advocates against child marriages in Zimbabwe while empowering girls and young women to enjoy their rights.
In the next 10 years l see myself advocating and championing against child marriages in the whole world.
