Makanaka Museve

I joined TaLI club at my High School Tongogara in Shurugwi back in 2011 when i got trained to be a leader together with a few other students and my female teacher Mrs Ndaba. The programme helped me in being a leader in helping to correctly positioning the girl child in the society. It has helped me to view the girl child as an equal partner or player with the boy child. It has also helped me to lobby for improvements of the warfare of the girl child in institutions that influences policy formulations that impact positively to the warfare of the girl child in and such institutions include my current college Kwekwe Polytechnic. It has also helped me be an agency of change representing young women in our issues in college where i am now, and has assisted me to be a leader because i am now part of leadership in other empowerment clubs in my college. Watching leaders such as Miss Nyaradzo
Mashayamombe strengthened me to realise that i can be anything i want and i can voice my concern anytime if things are not right.

Emelda Vhiriri

During my time at Tag a Life International (TaLI) where i joined initially as an intern and later as a Programmes Officer, i managed to sharpen my skills in organisation thus filing, reporting etc. I got opportunities to represent the Executive Director in her absence, engaging with high level women which assisted to groom and polish my etiquette. Networking platforms which i was exposed to by TaLI such as the Women's Coalition of Zimbabwe have been helpful even now as i’ve become a leader for young women at the Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe. During my time I
was allowed to work without supervision which helped me to become more responsible and this enabled my leadership skills. I also found a Role Model in the Director and direct Mentorship. This shaped the leader I am today.

Patience Phiri On her TaLI Experience

I am Mrs Patience Phiri a teacher facilitator for Tag a Life International (TaLI) School Clubs. My experience with TaLI has helped me to help the girl child to achieve better results because Tali trained us to help the girl have a high self esteem which makes them feel they can also do greater things despite the fact of them having a lot of challenges as rural girls. They now have self confidence and we have seen them excelling very well in their academics all through Tali activities which have empowered them.
